Squash Canada Unveils New Long Term Athlete Development Website

2013-10-15

OTTAWA (ON) - Squash Canada announced today the released of their new Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) Website, beyondthenick.ca in English and fr.beyondthenick.ca in French.  The website combines information contained in Squash Canada’s LTAD resource manual together with other information that will benefit players, coaches and parents.

Squash Canada’s Executive Director Danny Da Costa commented “This website will serve the squash community tremendously. It brings much more awareness to the sport of squash plus it will improve the education of physical literacy of athletes not only in Canada but around the world”.

Squash Canada is currently in the process of developing curriculums for various LTAD stages. The website will serve as a “one stop shop” for program information linked to LTAD.  A resource section has also been developed to provide best practices in the sport. Squash Canada is also in the process of creating full alignment with its officiating program to further grow the sport in Canada”.

The website was designed by Squash Canada Marketing partner, Ottawa-based ACART Communications, a Social Issues Marketing agency whose experience includes branding assignments for many association, not-for-profits and NGO clients, as well as Sports and Entertainment organizations such as The Ottawa Senators, The Ottawa 67’s and Calypso Theme Waterpark. “Under Da Costa’s guidance, Squash Canada has formed an excellent relationship with ACART over the past few years.  ACART’s vast experience has greatly enhanced our organization’s sport marketing and branding projects such as the Beyond the Nick Website”, said Squash Canada President Lolly Gillen.
