Ottawa, ON (November 29, 2012) – Squash Canada and their long-time partner Dunlop Sport have agreed to a five year sponsorship extension that will see Dunlop continue to serve as the official ball of Squash Canada, Squash Canada’s national events, and of  provincial and territorial associations across the country.

The sponsorship agreement signifies that Squash Canada and Dunlop Sport will continue a partnership that has spanned over a decade. Dunlop, the World’s No. 1 squash brand and the official ball of the World Squash Federation (WSF), the Professional Squash Association (PSA), and the Women’s Squash Association (WSA), will be a source of equipment and technical expertise for Squash Canada.

“I am very excited to be continuing our relationship with Dunlop Sport for at least five more years,” said Squash Canada executive director Danny Da Costa. “The partnership with Dunlop has been great for Squash Canada and I believe this deal will lead to our continued growth as an organization.”

Acting as Dunlop Sport’s exclusive distributor in Canada, HD Brown Enterprises representative Colin O’Donnell also expressed his approval at being able to renew their partnership with Squash Canada.  “Dunlop Sport’s continued partnership with Squash Canada is evidence of our long-term commitment to promote the game of squash while supporting all levels of participation across Canada.”

In addition to serving as the official ball of Squash Canada, Dunlop is also a strong supporter of Canadian National Squash events; Dunlop has been the title sponsor of the Canadian Junior Squash Open each of the last two years. The Canadian Junior Open brings together over 250 players from 15 countries to compete for Canada’s most prestigious international junior title. The 2012 edition of the Dunlop Canadian Junior Open will run December 8-11th at the Club at White Oaks, in Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON.
