A huge thanks you to secon year title sponsor Hennessy & Hinchcliffe (Mark Hinchcliffe) and co-sponsors: Ridley Windows; Koster, Spinks & Koster CA; Ferguson & Mak LLP; and Ledonne Construction Inc together with Squash Canada's national sponsors Harrow, Dunlop Sport and the Government of Canada for allowing Canada’s ultimate venue for a mixed doubles championship – the Toronto Cricket, Skating & Curling Club – to showcase Canada’s top doubles players at their best.  Major cutos to the 'Queen of Organization' Deb O’Neill and her partner in crime Pat Richardson, under the watchful eye of the club Head Professional Patrick Ryding and the assistance of Bill Richards, for once again putting on masterful weekend of tremendous value, fabulous hospitality in the luxury of a 3- doubles court facility. Thank you to Tournament Referee Tony Swift and his team for keeping matches fair and on time.

The tournament was highlighted with a star-studded Open draw and the reintroduction of the OPEN MIXED DOUBLES TROPHY; missing for 20 years.  The new JAY GILLESPIE TROPHY, donated by the 1st-ever Open Mixed Doubles Champion (1979, 1980 & 1981) PETER FROST (of the team Judi Wood & Frost) and Lolly Gillen. The new hardware is in honour of our fallen soldier “Jungle Jay,” the only player ever to win 11 consecutive Canadian Mixed Doubles titles (Mixed 40’s:2004-2006, Mixed 50s:2007-2010 and Mixed 55’s:2011-2014).
