Tips for Club Managers and operators

Every child deserves a Certified Coach
Squash is a lifetime sport if skills are taught correctly. In the interest of safety and retention of your membership, Squash Canada asks owners and operators of squash facilities and clubs to support the National Coaching Certification Program and to employ only NCCP Certified Coaches.

Squash Canada requires that all players who are teaching squash to beginners at your club have a minimum of Squash Assistant certification.

Some things to consider before hiring a squash coach or a club professional

What do your current squash members need?
What kind of squash members are you attempting to attract?

  • What percentage of your membership are ‘recreational adults’? (Beginners, Intermediates)
  • What percentage of your membership are ‘competitive adults’? (High caliber, National or International players)
  • Do you have a junior membership? Are juniors a top priority in your club? Do you have a successful Junior Program?

Match your coaching staff to the needs of your membership.

Intro to Squash Training and Certification
The Coaching Foundations Course and Multi-Sport Modules, Part A, provide all the coach training that is required to meet the needs of recreational beginners of all ages and progress them through to the start of the intermediate level.
