Coaching Certification Program Update
Introduction to Squash Context:
This is the old NCCP Level 1 Technical, Theory and Practical.
The technical and theory training is done at the Coaching
Foundations Course and at the Multi-Sport Modules, Part A.
After completing the training, candidates may be evaluated
and certified as either a Squash Assistant or a Squash Instructor.
We have certified Learning Facilitators and Evaluators for
this context in all the major regions and we are currently
working towards certifying at least one in every province/territory.
All the resource materials are now available in French.
On April 2007, this program received FINAL approval from
the Coaching Association of Canada.
Intermediate and Intro to Competition
Context:
This is the old Level 2 NCCP Technical, Theory and Practical.
The technical and theory training is done at the Intermediate
Coaching Course and at the Multi-Sport Modules, Part B. After
completing the training, coaches may be evaluated and certified
as either an Intermediate Instructor or a Club Coach.
We have certified Learning Facilitators and Evaluators for
this context in all the major regions.
On June 2008, this program received FINAL approval from the Coaching Association of Canada.
Competition- Development Context:
This is the old Level 3 NCCP Technical, Theory and Practical.
The technical and theory training is done at the Provincial Coaching Course and at the 6 Comp-Dev Multi-Sport Modules. After completing the training, coaches may be evaluated and certified as a Provincial Junior Coach.
We are currently certifying Learning Failitators and Evaluators for this context in the major regions.
We expect to receive CONDITIONAL approval from the Coaching Association of Canada in early 2010.
