December 12, 2009 - Top-seed Andrew Schnell of Calgary faced a tougher opponent than expected in his opening match at the Canadian junior open squash tournament on Saturday but still prevailed in four games over Egypt's Mohammed Masood. In women's under-17 play, top-seed Michelle Gemmell of Toronto had an opening round bye while second-seed Danielle Letourneau of Calgary defeated Emily Farah of Port of Spain 11-0, 11-2, 11-4.
