Badminton and Racquet Club
In May of 1924, a small group of badminton enthusiasts established a private club in the old radial car barn at the corner of St. Clair and Yonge, in downtown Toronto. Since that time, The Badminton and Racquet Club of Toronto has been a quiet escape for its Members in an increasingly busy metropolis. A Club of controlled size, intimate surroundings and quality facilities, the B&R has been a home-away-from-home for generations of Torontonians. Please note this club is 'white clothing only'.

Fitness Institute
The Fitness Institute opened in 1963 at The Inn on the Park in Toronto and from the start, attracted a membership serious about the pursuit of personal fitness and lifestyle improvement. Under the guidance of the famous Canadian coach, Lloyd Percival, and the financial stewardship of Toronto businessman, Jim Gairdner, the “FI” quickly won recognition for its high standards of fitness testing and progressive exercise programming-all concerns which had previously been the province of physiologists in laboratories studying fitness.
