Power and Baizley win Canadian
squash crowns
EDMONTON- Jonathon Power of Montreal earned a fifth straight mens
crown while Marnie
Baizley of Winnipeg beat the top-seed for

the womens title Saturday to conclude the Canadian squash championships
at the Royal Glenora Club.
In the mens final, Power, the top-seed and ranked third in
the world, defeated second-seed Graham Ryding of Toronto 15-3, 15-10,
15-12.
The womens final as expected was a close battle. Baizley,
seeded second, prevailed 9-6, 5-9, 3-9, 9-6, 9-4 against Melanie
Jans of Toronto, a three-time national champion.
